Bee Hot & Spicy...

This weekend, my honey and I made garden fresh salsa. Yum! It just doesn't get this good in a store bought jar no matter how many brands we try! Home grown tomatoes...and onions (forgot to take that pic!) By using produce from the garden, we made our salsa for less than $1! Now if only we could figure out how to grow chips...
I boiled the tomatoes until the skin split. This makes it so easy. The skins slides right off. Throw the tomatoes in a food processor with onion, garlic, jalapeno, cilantro, salt, and whatever your taste buds desire. We just kept adding until we got it just right. Caution: a little cilantro goes a long way-add in small amounts. I also cleaned most of the seeds from the jalapenos since we like our salsa mild. Be careful with this part as well. Your hands will be on fire if you handle the jalapenos too much. Rubber gloves help here.

You know the drill by now...bee an angel and make extra to take to your friends! And if you are all about the fine details in life, gift it in a dish or pitcher from Bee Angels. Now that would be some special salsa :)
